Contests throw up start-up, innovation winners and new talents

Changning District’s start-up and innovation competition as well as the seventh Shanghai new talent of business planning contest was held at the Greater Hongqiao Business Services Center on July 16.

More than 100 projects, divided into the scientific innovation group and the non-scientific innovation group, had been competing since May. The firms of the former were science and technology enterprises and the projects of the latter group got close to life, including equipment for sport and building new city landmarks.

The top 20 took part in a three-day enterprise training at the Hongqiao AI Valley-Greenland Intelligence Community and Xinwei intelligence valley.

During the final, after the roadshows and Question and Answer session, the participants showed their projects, ideas, abilities and knowledge of starting a business to investors, experts and business consultants.

Finally, a project of the circulating intelligent adsorption and deodorization equipment and an entertainment project won first places among the two competing groups.

After the competition, the sponsor will provide the winners with preferential policies such as guaranteed loan, rent subsidy and social insurance subsidy. Business guidance experts will also provide one-to-one follow-up assistance services for them.
