Vaccine appointments for Changning foreign residents

Shanghai is now making COVID-19 vaccination available to foreign residents. Starting from March 29, the city will include foreigners of the right ages into the vaccination population of domestic vaccines.

Foreigners in Shanghai who wish to receive the vaccine can make an appointment online through the “Health Cloud” app to register for the vaccination.

The city is currently using the domestic inactivated COVID-19 vaccine, which requires two injections. Foreigners who have social security medical insurance will be treated the same as other insured Chinese citizens. Foreigners who are not insured will pay for their own vaccination at a cost of 100 yuan (US$15.25) per injection.

As of March 29, foreign residents in Changning District can scan the QR code (attached) to enter the “Health Cloud” platform and fill in the information on the vaccination service page for foreigners in Shanghai, and then bring their passport, permanent residence ID cards or valid residence permit to the vaccination office at the designated time and place after an appointment.

The vaccinations will be given at the designated vaccination sites, including the Changning Beixinjing Community Health Service Center on 111 Beiyu Road and the Xinhua Community Health Service Center on 99, Lane 710, Dingxi Road.
