Consumer Rights Day celebrated in Changning

An activity to mark March 15 International Consumer Rights Day was held at Raffles City in Changning District.

The District Consumer Protection Commission received a total of more than 200 consumer complaints or consultation and distributed 1,000 copies of promotional materials at the event. Online consumption and tourism drew the most complaints.

Meanwhile, the Shanghai Food and Drug Science Popularization Station and 10 town-level stations were launched.

The District Consumer Protection Commission and Shanghai Xinchang Law Firm signed a cooperation contract during the activity. The lawyers of the firm will be hired as public legal advisors.

Inspections have been carried by the commission to check the implementation of the plastic ban in shopping malls, restaurants, drug stores and bookstores.
